Awesome pictures of building the Sukkah. For so many of us, it is the only one we experience. Thanks to George and all of the volunteers who make it possible.

The Mitzvah Day that I went to for Kids in Distress was a great success. Thanks to Sheldon, and Linda for making the day one to remember for the kids. It was really nice to see all the wonderful smiles on the children. The beauty about giving your time to put smiles on them, also puts smiles on ourselves. Its a win win situation.

Thanks to David Levin for putting all together... again.

Also.. since your reading this, why not buy a brick to be placed at the temple patio? See the link on the website, or email me for questions, or the form. rob@alliedkitchenandbath.com

Temple Bat Yam is beginning a Substance Abuse Network to work with people that are ready work through issues associated with drug and alchohol addictions.

Right now George Fredlund and Sheldon Voss are working to form this outreach. If you would like to join in any capacity give George or Sheldon a call. We are both in the Temple Directory.

Sounds like they are working you hard. How about writing something up (with pictures) for use on the website explaining your experiences?

Greetings from David Levin and George Fredlund from the Kutz Camp in Beautiful Downtown Warwick NY. This week we have been attending a Lay Leadership Seminar called Had'rachah. This study session is designed to expose us to the ways of conducting different services for our Temple Community.

This is an intensive course of study and is sort of like a total emersion language course. They have a locked gate at night and everything. So far we have been able to escape at night and go into town for a little R&R also known as Guinesses. It was allot easier to accomplish after we chewed through our ankle bracelets.

We will be back on Tuesday night. Monday morning we are leaving Warwick and moving the course to the Hebrew Union College in the City.
This is good as this is a case of "How are you going to keep 'm down on the farm, after they've seen the farm. JUST KIDDING FOLKS!!! This facility is a gem.

So far we have seen and learned a vast amount, which will take some time to process and catalog. In conclusion, "our seeing the other side of the bima" has led to a greater respect nad admiration for our Rabbi, Cantor and Educational Director.

We are most grateful for this opportunity. We cannot wait until next year!

Congratulations to Cantor Wendy for a wonderful evening hosting the Filling Empty Bowls event to publicize the plight of the hungry here in Broward County and raise money to fill the cupboards of the Cooperative Feeding Program. Although this was our first year as a host site, Cantor Wendy's hard work and very unique mixing of events helped make our evening one of the most successful in all of Broward County, raising over $2,000 to help feed the hungry.

Please support this event. It will be great fun and we will raise money to support the extraordinary education programs Temple provides.
Ask business associates and friends to participate as well. Anyone can sponsor, play or donate a gift to our raffle.
